Does Greenhouse have job alerts? The direct answer

Yes — when the employer turns them on. Greenhouse offers candidate-facing job alerts through MyGreenhouse. On a participating board you’ll see a “Create job alert” option. You sign in with an email code (password-free), pick titles (and sometimes departments), and get a daily or weekly email when matching roles post.

That is a real candidate feature — unlike Lever or Ashby, where “alerts” language often means recruiter tooling. The catch: the company has to enable job alerts on that board. Many Greenhouse pages still have no signup. Treat MyGreenhouse as available on some boards, not as a universal Greenhouse default.

How MyGreenhouse job alerts work

Per Greenhouse’s MyGreenhouse job alerts docs:

• Candidates create an alert from the job board or a job post after signing into MyGreenhouse.
• By default you can alert on up to eight job titles; employers can also allow department-based alerts.
• Matching emails go out daily or weekly (Greenhouse notes 8:00 AM in the candidate’s time zone). Alerts from every board you follow are grouped into one email. Republished jobs are not included.
• One MyGreenhouse account can cover multiple Greenhouse boards you subscribe to — useful if several dream companies all use Greenhouse.

Limits worth knowing

• Not every Greenhouse board enables candidate alerts — availability is employer-controlled.
• Delivery is daily or weekly, not near-instant — fine for many searches, weaker for roles that fill in hours.
• Filtering is title- and (optionally) department-based; exclude keywords and description matching are limited compared with purpose-built monitors.
• Title matching can be broad — Greenhouse notes that “Project manager” alerts can also match “Senior project manager.”

What to try first

1. Look for “Create job alert”on the company’s Greenhouse board. If it’s there, use MyGreenhouse.
2. Check for a talent-community or newsletteron the company’s own site — sometimes bolted on around the board.
3. Use Greenhouse’s public Job Board APIif you’re technical — see job posting RSS feeds.
4. Consider a monitorif the board has no native alert, you need faster checks, or you’re watching Greenhouse alongside Lever, Workday, or Ashby companies in one list.

The RSS / API option

Greenhouse publishes a public Job Board API at a predictable URL built from the board token (often visible in job-boards.greenhouse.io/{token}):
